Wooden Boat Bunny

Wooden Boat Bunny

Erika Wurm, Port Townsend
www.erikawurm.com, wurmwares@gmail.com

12.5" x 9"
NFS

This piece is the second in my series in a homage to Port Townsend, WA.  I wanted to feature its local fauna and iconic attractions this lil' seaside town is known for; like wooden boat building and Victorian architecture.  To create this piece I used repurposed fabrics, watercolor, embroidery, thick paper and wire.  A 9" embroidery hoop acts as the frame.

Nature Montage

Debra Olson, Port Townsend
debolson747@yahoo.ca  or phone: 360 344 2945

33" x 48"
(NFS)

I feel this piece is "quilt-like", in that I focused on making each "block" individually, then put them all together for a finished piece. It focuses on birds and leaves, two of my favorite themes. I used many special bits and pieces collected over years, too treasured to throw away, as they reminded me of a friend or time or place

12.5" x 12.5"
$30

I felt I had gotten away from the way I usually work, starting with canvas as my base, then adding paint, paper, fabric and embellishments.  This was a quick project to get back to it.

Postcards From Home

Cheri Kopp, Port Townsend
studio@cherikopp.com

Paper collage, glued, stitched – the three titles (L to R, as pictured):

PT is Sending and Receiving Love
ART: The Heart of Port Townsend
Port Townsend Sticks Together

6.5 x 8.5” framed

$70 each, framed for display or hanging

Cheri created three collaged postcards for a PTSA Grover Gallery display during the early days of the pandemic. She pulled from her studio stash of cast-off ephemera to represent: 1) love for her town, 2) the art that is at the core of Port Townsend, and 3) that we are unified, as a community. Materials include cancelled postage stamps, postage stamp page border, used and new stickers, return address labels, chipboard product packaging (from art supplies butter, cereal, clothing, crackers, pie crust, rice, soda, toaster pastries, vitamin C, yogurt…), on index cards.

Fitted Fashion Face Coverings

Fitted Fashion Face Coverings

Cheri Kopp, Port Townsend
studio@cherikopp.com

Standard size similar to fit of a surgical mask (larger size also available)

$30 each

In anticipation of a mask mandate, and drawing on her experience as a cancer survivor, Cheri developed a comfortable, breathable 3D-style covering for herself, using quilters’ cotton fabrics and organic cotton lining. Fitted with adjustable ear-loops made of latex-free nylon cording (the type used in surgical masks), and a wide adjustable nosepiece that helps prevent fogged glasses. Fashion, as always, is in the eye of the beholder; clients choose from Cheri’s extensive collection of over 1000 fabrics (done remotely, of course).

Masks can become an addictive form of self-expression: Cheri has made more than a dozen for herself, fashion accessories to coordinate with clothing, jewelry, eyeglasses, coats and even her studio apron.

Those on display are standard size and for sale; custom inquiries welcome.

"When you buy something from an artist, you're buying more than an object. You are buying hundreds of hours of errors and experimentation. You're buying years of frustration and moments of pure joy. You're not buying just one thing, you are buying a piece of a heart, a piece of a soul. A small piece of someone else's life."
