Green Blue Magic
PTSA Art Experience
236 Taylor Street, Port Townsend

April 5-28, 2019

In celebration of April’s Earth Day, Port Townsend School of the Arts invited members of the Surface Design Association (SDA) to create an exhibit themed “Green Blue Magic” at the School’s PtSA Downtown location, 236 Taylor. This fiber art installation expresses the visual and tactile experience of the waterways and foliage of our region.  PtSA Faculty art will complement the SDA show, reflecting the palettes of earth and sky. The exhibit opens on April 5 and runs throughout the month.

Over 15 artists from PtSA faculty and the local Surface Design Association are participating in the show, presenting a wide array of texturally designed items including quilts and banners, scarves, felted materials, jewelry and up-cycled assemblages. The collection is rich in color, form and texture, providing a unique artists’ view into the Green Blue Magic of our environment.
