Celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the Beatles Arriving in the U.S.

 In 1964, the Beatles took the world by storm with their arrival in the United States, igniting Beatlemania and transforming the music landscape forever. As we commemorate the 60th anniversary of this historic event, you are invited to submit your work for the Fiber Habit Window display.

 Theme:
You are encouraged to explore the influence of the Beatles on music, culture, and society. Works can be inspired by their songs, albums, individual band members, or the cultural phenomena that surrounded their arrival in the U.S.

 Inspiration: Beatles songs/lyrics, fashions (“mod”, miniskirts, Mary Quant, Twiggy), eye-popping colors (lime green, magenta, hot pink, tangerine) mixed with paisley, swirls and flowers, personal reflections on their music.

 There is a $10 fee to participate. You will also need to sign the waiver of liability.

 I will be at the August and September meetings if you want to give me your piece(s). If not, we can make other arrangements.  I will be out of the country from September 19 to October 4.

 Plans are to install the exhibit on Sunday, October 6.  I’m excited to see what you create.
